ExhibitionBase Studio

AI exhibition stand designer — turns a client brief and the brand's website into three editable 3D stand concepts at exact size, photoreal renders with the brand's logo, and an A3 drawing pack plus layered AutoCAD DXF a stand builder can quote from.

The problem

Pitching an exhibition stand means a designer modelling a concept in 3D, rendering it, then drawing the plan and elevations in CAD — days of work for a tender the agency may not win. Generic AI image tools skip that work by inventing a stand: a pretty picture with the wrong footprint, the wrong open sides and nothing anyone can build or quote from.

Who uses it

4 groups

Stand builders & exhibition agencies

Concepts, renders and drawings for a pitch in an afternoon, so they can answer more tenders without more designers.

Exhibitors

A picture and a dimensioned drawing to brief their stand builder with, instead of a mood board.

Event marketers

A believable render of the stand to show management before the budget is signed.

CAD designers

A layered DXF and a GLB / OBJ model to carry the concept into AutoCAD, Rhino, 3ds Max or Blender.

How it was built

8 parts

Model first, then render

Most AI booth tools go straight from a prompt to a picture, so the stand in the image cannot be built. Studio builds a dimension-controlled 3D model first — 2 to 30 m a side, up to 8 m high, row, corner, peninsula or island — and renders that model from the camera the user framed. The render follows the layout, open sides and heights; the model and drawings carry the exact dimensions.

The brand, read from its website

Pasting the brand's address is enough. Studio reads only the public home page and its stylesheets to pick up the name, what it sells, who to, its tone, its colours and its logo, and writes them into the brief. Concepts then fit the brand instead of a template, and the logo lands on the brand wall and counter in the render.

AI inside hard constraints

The layout planner returns three different directions, but nothing is placed outside the footprint, above the height limit or against a side that should be open. One-sentence changes — 'add a private meeting room', 'open up the corner' — rework the same object model under the same rules, so the AI can be creative without producing something the floor plan rejects.

Drawings a stand builder can quote from

Every design generates a general arrangement on A3: a plan with grid bubbles and a 0,0 set-out point, front and side elevations against floor level and maximum height, a title block, and a schedule with size, set-out X/Y, rotation and finish for every object. The scale is picked from 1:20 to 1:250 to fit the sheet, and the drawings redraw on every edit.

A DXF that opens everywhere

Exports are written as R12 DXF in millimetres — the most widely supported version — with walls, furniture, displays, structure, overhead items, grid, dimensions and open / closed sides on their own layers. It opens directly in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, DraftSight, LibreCAD and Vectorworks, and imports into SketchUp and Illustrator. The same model exports as GLB and OBJ for Blender, Rhino, 3ds Max and Unreal.

Render or sketch back to CAD

The reverse direction: upload a designer's render, a photo of last year's stand or a hand sketch with its real width, depth and height. A vision model rebuilds the visible walls, counters, furniture and frames as separate editable objects scaled to those numbers, and anything hidden or unclear is labelled on the drawing as an image-derived estimate, never presented as surveyed.

Client review links

Any version can be shared as a link. The client explores the stand in 3D, sees the render and approves or asks for changes on the page, and the comments land back in the project — no screenshots passed around by email.

Credits, not subscriptions

Studio is its own product with its own accounts, separate from the ExhibitionBase CRM. Every workspace starts with 10 free credits, then buys one-time packs — 100 for $15, 300 for $39, 1,000 for $99 — that never expire. Only AI work is metered (3 for concepts, 2 for an AI change, 4 for image to CAD, 5 or 8 for a render); editing, drawings, review links and every export are free.
